About

Rebekah has been involved in fine arts since childhood, and has allowed her love of animals to guide her work for decades.

Rebekah has now been creating fine art portraits of animals for 30 years!

"I was an artist even in early childhood. As a young girl, I was noticed for my creative talent and was encouraged to enroll in a locally taught specialized art class for children. Years went by and my love for art and animals continued to evolve. At age 17 while I was working as a veterinary assistant in Snellville, Georgia, I began taking commissions for hand-drawn pet portraits in colored pencil. I have been doing them ever since!"

Rebekah spent a brief period as an art major at the University of Georgia in the late 90's, but developed most of her artistic skills through determination and hours of solitary studio time.

Inspired by a deep appreciation of anatomy and an interest in natural healing, she also studied massage therapy and acupressure for humans and animals. Rebekah is a graduate of Atlanta School of Massage in Georgia and Tallgrass Animal Acupressure Institute in Colorado. In the southwest US she also studied Masterson Method of Equine Bodywork, and has worked with formerly wild mustangs assisting to release the trauma of roundups using skills learned from highly attuned bodywork teachers.

She has been featured in several publications in Athens, Georgia over the years for her animal portraits, animal massage, and local musical performances.
